Farewell UK

Tonight is probably my last night in the UK for at least a year. Tomorrow morning the ship sails out of London and sails to Cork in Ireland before heading across the Atlantic on 14th July to the Caribbean.
Sadly Heather is not sailing as she has had to return to Edinburgh for the funeral of her granny.
Granny Orr saw her hundredth birthday and 10 days later went to be with her Lord. It is a difficult time for the family as everyone loved her dearly but it is a blessing that we are still in the UK and Heather's brother Billy is also here on a visit from Canada with the family.

The time in London has been fantastic and very busy for us. The crowds have not come to the ship that some expected but we have had many significant events onboard.
This weekend has been a very special time as we have had our offical London Launch into ministry with hundreds of people coming from all over the UK and the world to celebrate Logos Hope beginning it's ministry and sailing from Europe.
As a family we have enjoyed visits from Heather's brother Billy and his family from Canada who stayed onboard for 3 nights. Also my parents, my brother and his family and my aunt who have all been onboard. It was also great to have a few former RBS colleagues visit.

So now we say goodbye to London, the UK and soon Europe as we head into the next great big adventure - the Caribbean.
