I mentioned in yesterday's blog about Friday's Indian night and the Bollywood dancing.
Well here is the video.

Family Time
This past week has been a great opportunity for some good family time as Grandma and Grandad Packwood have been visiting and the kids have been on school holiday. So it was a great opportunity to take a few days off and get out to see a bit more of Denmark.
Last Saturday we enjoyed the delights of Denmark's capital, Copenhagen, and were blessed with a lovely sunny day. Copenhagen has lots of charm and character and we all enjoyed the sights and sounds. Of course it is very expensive so you probably want to take your sandwiches with you.

Tuesday we went up to the north of this island to visit a couple of castles. Helsingor overlooks Sweden and there seemed to be endless ferries running between the two countries. We then traveled to another castle that was more like a palace with amazing grounds and gardens. It was great to see the kids exploring with their grandparents and Liam showing a real interest in the history and art of the building which is something his grandad loves.

On Wednesday we finally got to visit the famous Tivoli. The worlds oldest theme park and probably the only one right in the middle of a capital city, next to the main train station.
Because it was the last week of the summer opening, there was a special deal which got you into the park and on to all the rides all day for the equivalent of £10. It was a great day and a lot of fun, apart from the hour when we thought we had lost a bag containing our video camera. Thankfully the Danes are very honest and it was handed in with everything intact, muct to our relief.

The park is a great blend of rides and gardens and in the evening the lights create a magical atmosphere and there are bandstands with music concerts taking place in different places. We even ate inside a pirate ship. Not Disney but certainly well worth a visit.

Check out Kara's latest dance moves.
On Thursday we had decided we wanted to visit Malmo in Sweden as no one in the family apart from Steve had ever been to Sweden. So we go the train via Copenhagen over the 8km long Oresund bridge and arrived in a dull and chilly Malmo around lunchtime.

To be honest, there is not a great deal to see in Malmo. We wandered around the few quaint squares, headed over to a park that contained a castle which was more like a large aquarium and reptile house. After making our way right across the city to the modern west harbour, we got the bus back to the city centre and found a nice Italian restaurant for dinner.
Today we are all really excited about news that has come from Malaysia. Saturday night there was a large Partnership Dinner held in Kuala Lumpur which had been primarily organised by 2 of the wives onboard Logos Hope. A Malaysian business man offered the use of his hotel free of charge for 150 people to stay for the weekend, and 700 places for a dinner in the ball room so that we could present the work of Logos Hope and raise funds.
The event was a great success with 4 times as much being given and pledged as we had hoped for. A fantastic answer to prayer.
We now have all the money that we need to get the ship completed and sailing, but we don't have the people with the skills to finish the work. We are looking at ways of getting welders, fitters, engineers and plumbers to the ship to get the essential work completed so we can obtain our PSSC and sail in the next few months.

At least we can now say we have all been to Sweden.
One of the great things about living on the ship is all the diverse cultures onboard. On Friday night we had our regular staff cafe and this week it was an Indian night. There was indian food, chai and it was a real revelation to see a couple of the guys leading everyone in some Bollywood Indian dancing. What a lot of fun. The evening ended with a Bollywood film which funnily enough came from one of the Caribbean girls as non of the Indians ever watch films at home.
