Scots Wahay!

This past week has been another good one for Scottish visitors. We had Mairi and Grace from Carrubbers, Pauline's mum and sister and Philip Rose, husband of the OM Scotland rep - Sharon.

The week started with snow which made Kiel look very beautiful. It didn't stay long but was enjoyed by many onboard while it lasted.

Mairi and Grace discovered the delights of the heavy oil fuel tank and got their hands dirty. It is amazing that the tank is still not finished after some 5 weeks of cleaning. Mairi and Grace had a great week onboard and seemed to really enjoy thieir stay.

This has been a very busy week for me as the head of IT for the ships has been onboard and we have been planning for the future of the IT team. Lots of meetings! In the next couple of weeks, the 2 guys who have been leading the IT work over the past year are both leaving and we have a new guy taking over. I will need to spend more time working with the team in the coming weeks until we have a transition of leadership.

This weekend has been a very busy one for visitors to the ship. Yesterday there were 3 coachloads of people that came from partner churches and a large group of local children that came onboard. It is encouraging to see all these people showing such interest in Logos Hope.
The weekend is also a time when the kids have their own children's activities onboard organised by a committed group of young people. Yesterday they had a treasure hunt dressed as pirates.

It is such a joy for us when the kids have fun and really enjoy their life onboard.

Heather's parents arrive on Wednesday so the kids are already getting excited about their arrival. They will be with us for 2 weeks.
