A grand finale in Trinidad

The past few days have seen an incredible response to the ship visit here in Trinidad with around 25000 people coming the past 5 days and the highest book sales we have ever seen.

On Saturday and Sunday, we took over a large warehouse next to the ship, cleaned out all the pigeon muck, set up a stage and had a full programme of music, drama, dances, magic, puppets and mime to entertain people as they waited as well as giving them the gospel.

We even had Stunt Unicycling and the Airdancer donated to the ship by Carrubbers. At times we had over 700 people waiting in the warehouse and another 400+ outside with people waiting up to 2 hours to get onboard.

We also set up drinks stands and popcorn, had unicycles and clowns to keep people happy.
Heather did a mime on Sunday evening to a full warehouse. and she and Kara also helped sell drinks.

It was great to see how excited all the visitors were with everything that was going on and the books.

So now we have finished our visit to Trinidad and have seen over 96000 visitors come up the gangway. We are all looking forward now to sailing to St Lucia tomorrow and enjoying a slighly slower pace for the next couple of weeks.
