I will try and get back into the Friday night update routine.
So we are back onboard the ship and at Canary Wharf in London.
We flew down on Monday and within 10 mins of arriving onboard, the kids had disappeared to find their friends. When we wanted to go out a couple of hours later and see a bit of London, we remembered how hard it is to find your kids onboard. Aaaagh, where have they disappeared to?
The berth in Canary Wharf is amazing, right underneath some of the tallest buildings in London, at the heart of the business district.

We have already had some very sucessful events
in the past week and it was a massive highlight to have a youth concert in our newly completed theatre on Tuesday night. We had Hillsongs London as well as 5 other local bands performing and it was amazing to see and hear just how good the new theatre is. What potential for the future!
Yesterday we had a lunch for business men which I was the MC for and a one of the top Christian business men in the UK, Brian Souter, was the speaker. We were expecting around 60 people and 140 turned up so we were frantically putting out more tables and chairs and the galley were rushing to make sandwiches but it was a nice problem to have.
Last night our friend Colin was down in London on business so we met up at Westminster and went on the London Eye for an amazing view of the city. Thanks Colin.
We now have Heather's brother and family visiting from Vancouver, Canada for the first time in 5 years. They are staying 3 nights onboard so it will be good for the kids to get to know one another for the first time. We hope to get out and see some of London while they are here.
The coming week will continue to be very busy with visits from my parents, brother and family and aunt, former Royal Bank work colleagues and ex Doulos friends.
The kids are off school so the teachers can help out with the visitor deck so Heather will have her hands full. I will be getting much more involved in my new role as co-ordinator of the whole visitor deck. This is not instead of my previous job but as well as.
