visitors and the final month in Trogir

Well we are now into October but you wouldn't know it here in Trogir apart from the leaves falling off the trees. The sun is still warm and we have still been swimming in the sea. We thank God that He has allowed us to be here for this time.

The past week has been a great encouragement as we have had 2 girls from our church come as project workers on board and Heather's parents have also come for 2 weeks. The kids really miss their grandparents so there was so much excitement when we were waiting at the airport for them to arrive. I don't think I have ever seen the kids so excited.

It has been great to spend time with them and show them some of the lovely area we are staying as well as letting them see the ship and the work on board.

Last Sunday we enjoyed another day onboard as a family and in the evening we held a Ceilidh (Scottish Dance) in the visitor experience deck for those onboard. This coming Saturday we have been asked to go to a church in Split and help to hold a Scottish night with more dancing.

Anna and Jennifer, students from our church in Edinburgh have had a fantastic time on board working hard on a number of practical projects including rust busting the deck - and getting very dirty every day. Yesterday they decided to just head to the beach with a jar of washing powder and scrub off in the sea. What a joy having them here and we hope many more will come and help out onboard in the coming months.
We are now working towards a specific sailing date from Trogir - 31st October. Everyone involved believes this is achievable so we will plan for this date and trust everything can be completed in time. We as a family will take the sailing time to take a leisurely drive up to north Germany. Enjoying a short break on route.
We'll keep you updated on the progress.
