Wow, Port of Spain Trinidad is proving to be a very busy port. Last Thursday we had over 5600 visitors and had the second highest days booksales in 40 years of OM ships.
It has been an incredible week with 2 public holidays this week and thousands of people coming every day. We are distributing thousands of bibles as well as educational and Christian books.
What a great opportunity to see many thousands of lives being changed and impacted by these books.
On Thursday we also set up a stage on the quayside and had a whole program of activities for the waiting lines of visitors. Everyone was very excited by the opportunity to do something on stage. It was great to see so much activity and excitement about connecting with the Trinidadian people.

Of course when you sell 22000 books in a single day, it does create a lot of work. We have already loaded 8 containers of books in the past 2 weeks and expect another 4 in the coming weeks as well as 3 containers of food and stores. The holds team are starting at 5am each morning to pick all the books to restock the bookfair.
This week has been quite a challenge for me as I have been coping with an infection under my are which has been very painful and required the doctor to cut into my armpit SO I have spent the week knocking back painkillers and hoping the infection would heal up soon.
The kids started their new school year this week as well and they both have new teachers. They got their report cards for last year and both are doing very well. We were really encouraged by their reports.
