a restful week

On Tuesday the big day arrived and I flew back into Copenhagen airport and was met by Heather Liam and Kara. It was great to see them and be back together as a family.

The flight back had been uneventful although the 7 hour wait at Gatwick felt like a long time. Thankfully I had my finance manager, Olivia from Panama for company.
By the time I left Logos 2, with 2 others, there were only around 25 people left onboard. We are still waiting to hear if the ship has found a buyer for scrap.
After the great reunion at the airport and the drive back to Koge, it was time for presents and everyone seemed happy with their gifts.
By 9 pm I was shattered and was soon asleep.
Wednesday began a period of sab* bath days for the ships community. An opportunity to stop work for a few days and have some spiritual and physical refreshing. For me it was perfect timing after all the demands of the past few weeks, but I think everyone onboard was pleased to get the opportunity for a rest.
It was also our 15th Wedding anniversary so it was nice to be able to spend the day together catching up.

We have enjoyed teaching from a guy called Julian each morning who with his family spent many years in Turkey.
Most afternoons we have been to the beach as the weather turned very nice just in time for these few days. There is a beach just 10 mins cycle away so that has been a lot of fun.

One of the highlights of the week was last night(Friday) when we had the Logoscars.
Everyone was invited to make a short film and submit it to a judging panel. We all dressed up smartly for dinner then went down to deck 4 for the screenings.

There were 15 movies, all of a very good standard. I was very pleased when my IT team won 2 awards, including the audience vote for best film. I even got to present them with the Logoscar for best soundtrack
However, it did make me wonder about how much time they had spent on it when they should have been working while I was away.
Sunday we are enjoying a late brunch then a bbq for supper and then and evening service.
Then on Monday, the work begins - should be interesting after so much time away!
