Funeral and dentist

When my friend walked in the house last night and asked "What kind of week have you had?" my reply was " as good as can be expected when you've been to a funeral and had a wisdom tooth out."
It has been a difficult week in some ways. On Monday Steve's nana, mum's mum, passed away at nearly 94. She lived in Northern Ireland so we didn't see her often but she was my last grandparent so it was still sad and yet we know she is home with her Lord.
So on Weds morning it was a 7am flight to Belfast for the funeral. We met up with my brother at the airport and my dad met us to take us to my uncles where we were having breakfast by 8.30.
The funeral went well with a large number coming to bear testimony to the affection in which nana was held. It was good to be able to spend time with cousins which we rarely see.
Heather has continued her training for the Edinburgh half marathon on 1st April. Last Sunday morning she ran 9 miles before church!
On Friday I had an appointment at the dental hospital where I was expecting surgery on my gums. However, I ended up having a wisdom tooth out instead. It took 20 mins to wrestle it out of my mouth. Not the best way to finish the week.
Still - looking forward to a great weekend ahead.
